15th Annual Holiday Card Contest

Dear CMP Families,

CMP turns 20 this year and would like to highlight 20 years of offering a quality, tuition-free Montessori Education that challenges our students to reach their full potential with the Holiday Card.

Attached are the contest rules and art work entry form, and we encourage your student/s to submit a design to their Principal on, or before, November 5th.  We are looking for artwork that is based upon the overall ‘CMP 20th Anniversary’ theme and for those who want something more specific we have chosen ‘Your favorite thing about CMP/School.’

Contest winners will receive a book of their choice and 20 cards.

Looking forward to seeing what your children create.

Happy Holidays!

CMP 20th Anniversary

Welcome to 2021-2022 school year.  This year marks a momentous milestone for CMP, our 20th Anniversary!

On Wednesday, August 4, 2021, CMP kicked off the celebration with a ‘Founder’s Panel”.  The CMP-Community had a chance to hear from the four individuals who started CMP twenty years ago on how CMP came into existence, the challenges they faced along the way, and what they are most proud of about CMP twenty years later.  It was an inspiring event.

Please follow the link to view the recording of the “Founder’s Panel”.

Many thanks to Norman Lorenz, Deanna Gardner, Marion MacGillivray, and Keith Alpaugh.

CMP COVID-19 Update - All Campuses Closure Extended

Dear CMP Community:

Today, we are writing to update you on the anticipated length of our closure as well as to provide an update on our current efforts to meet the academic and social and emotional needs of our students.

CMP continues to carefully monitor the recommendations and directives issued by local, state, and federal leaders. On Wednesday, Sacramento County issued a Public Health Order directing all residents to stay at home, unless they are providing or accessing essential services.  Yesterday, the Governor issued a “Stay at Home” order for all of California.

As a result of these orders, all CMP schools will remain closed at least through April 20th.  The CMP Board will meet on April 20th to decide on any potential closure extensions.

CMP COVID 19 (Coronavirus) Update - New Guidance from Department of Public Health and Department of Education

Dear CMP Community,

We want to keep you updated and informed on CMP’s response to COVID-19 (Coronavirus) which we have been monitoring all weekend.

At around 12pm on Saturday we learned that Elk Grove Unified School District would be closing school next week.  In our message to the CMP Community on 2/27/20 we indicated that CMP would be following the lead of our authorizing districts and following guidance from public health agencies on our response to COVID-19. As a result, when Elk Grove Unified School district announced it was canceling school this week we also canceled school at our two Elk Grove sites for Monday and Tuesday.

All other sites (Capitol, American River, Carmichael, Orangevale, and Shingle Springs) remain open this week.
